We are a grassroots, youth-led clean up initiative gathering people together to protect and restore the local environment and connect with nature.

We host regular rubbish clean ups in Canberra, and soon other towns across Australia. Through practical environmental action we educate and empower our communities to take positive action in our cities, towns and local environment.

Since its small beginnings in 2017, Trash Gather has expanded with support from hundreds of local volunteers. We’ve collaborated with many other community groups and gained regular media attention from several local media outlets. Trash Gather has also been recognised with an award and grant from Youth InterACT, and a donation from the ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr.
